INTERLUDE REVISIT @ TTDI

Chef Rabin is one maestro that I have e'er look upon to, perpetually enjoy each pieces of his sharing whose maiden culinary endeavour first sparks during his stay in Melbourne previously. It’s always fascinating to see how passionate Rabin is when describing his approach towards the food creations enthusiastically and not at all scrimpy about his knowledge, thence every moment listening to his stories is simply a joyful and enlightening one.

And now, we were delighted to be back again for more noteworthy debuts of new dishes under his def hands.

Stealing my attention almost immediately was this seemingly common nosh but with a new interpretation by Interlude.

NACHOS (MYR 24)
Tortilla chips with pork or chicken, jalapeno, guacamole, sour cream and cheese

Instantly wow us over unanimously was this newly created Nachos that has been given a new fresh twist to the conventional one. For this, we were served with minced pork dressing together with sour cream and guacamole (my fave!) before baked with cheese. The dish is simply one of its kind, melted cheese was gorgeous and just terrific! Truly highly recommended!

CRISPY PORK BELLY (MYR 24)
Pickled cabbage with Kilkenny glaze- crispy on the skin but tender underneath the collagen layer (=

It is marinated with Chinese 5 spice herbs and salt to dehydrate the skin after cooling down before baking it again till the skin is crispy. That was a tedious process as the overall process takes up to 2 days! Undeniably, lots of efforts and hard work has been put into this culinary craft by the affable chef!

Coming up, house special burgers!

ULTIMATE INTERLUDE PORK BURGER (MYR 26)
Served with fries. Can choose to add on bacon, fried egg or cheese at MYR4 each.

For some reason, I really enjoy its fries! Secret addition- oregano and paprika, slurps! ^^

PULLED PORK BURGER (MYR 29)
Comparatively, am more drawn to this version for the more texturized juiciness that added a different  gustatory dimension.  The pulled pork is using pork shoulder part and glazed with Guiness BBQ sauce, thus laces of juicy strands amusingly tickling your palette. Am always a big fan of pulled pork and it simply won’t go wrong. Also served with fries.

Oh, here you go floats! But definitely not your usual kiddy smoothies float (=

GUINESS FLOAT (MYR 29)

Or make it a double happiness combo at only MYR 46 for a set of Pulled Pork Burger and Guiness Float. You get more for less! It’s definitely a steal.

For traditionalist, here you go the usual, fuss-free staple grubs.

INTERLUDE’S CRISPY PORK FRIED RICE (MYR 18)
Similar luscious slices from Crispy Pork Belly. The meat here is tad salty though, but I enjoy the aroma exuded from the freshly fried rice that has been added with some chili for some spicy kick!

We were thrilled when learnt that Interlude has come up with an array of promising dessert! A notion of caveat, these sweet indulgence are really, really gratifying especially the remarkable cheesecake!

CHEESECAKE (MYR 22)
Baked cheesecake of biscuit base, coulis and dusted with grated black and white choc
Weekly special so it will be on rotational basis

CARAMEL TRIFLE (MYR 22)
As suggested, it comes in various elements layering with custard and toothsome buttery cookies on the bottom while the top is crowned with date molasses reduction.
Interlude’s unique take on traditional Italian desserts.

Apart from the new kids of the block, not forgetting Interlude’s existing signatures.

LEMON CHICKEN SALAD (MYR 16)
Mixed lettuce tossed in lemon vinaigrette with slices of chicken

NANTUA OF SPAGHETTI WITH SEASONAL SEAFOOD (MYR 30)
Delightful pasta dish served in nantua sauce (a derivation from seafood bisque and Neapolitan or marinara sauce) with juicy seafood grilled separately for that added smokiness!
Indeed a beautiful marriange of French and Italian heritage.
One of the best seller!

Of course, not forgetting to say Hi to this reigning masterpiece here- sous vide pork belly!

17 HOURS SLOW COOKED PORK BELLY (MYR 36)
The wobbly meat has undergone beautiful browning under maillard reaction, and served with grated egg white and gribiche inspired sauce that draws flavours from cream reduced with capers, pickled cucumbers, tarragon and parsley in chicken stock.

Wow, that's certainly a pretty massive work!

INTERLUDE SPECIALTY MYR 26 EACH
Green winter – vodka, triple sec, cucumber juice
Pink senorita- tequila, triple sec, lime juice, cranberry juice
Esmerald island- vodka, midori, melon, Malibu, pineapple juice

FROZEN MELON MARGARITA (MYR 26)
Tequila, midori, melon, sweet sour, honey dew

CHILLED ORANGE JUICE (MYR 12)

MOCKTAILS (MYR 18 EACH)
Shirley temple- grenadine syrup and sprite
Passion punch- passion fruit syrup and sprite
Virgin alyaa- strawberry puree, banana puree, cranberry juice, soda water
