TRAVEL DAY 3 - OCEAN PARK | 5D 4 N @ HONG KONG & MACAU

Alright, time for Hong Kong Trip Day 3 sharing!
Sorry to keep you guys waiting for a while –just able to clear few pending reviews especially on seafood. Talking about it again, I’m drooling for the huge USA Live Oysters once more! Haha………………

So how do we start off our Day 3 itinerary the impromptu way? As shared with you guys earlier, I actually went on the F&E tour without any itinerary, but luckily got guarded and under good hands of Romeo who currently could be addressed as partially Hongkie white collar for now, hehe

So we kick off our journey that morning with some brunch (after nearly whole day out at Macau’s of Ruins of St. Paul’s) at the famous Goose noodle shop- Yat Lok Roast Goose (一樂燒鵝) located at Central.

Address: G/F, 28 Stanley Street, Central Hong Kong

I guess this is my first time tasting roast goose but it somehow still reminds me of roast duck kind of texture, if not better. Love the thin, crispy skin of rather “moist” tender skin- it can be tad oily thought, but that somehow adds more fragrance to the poultry.

We have 2 versions- soup and dry, with our votes eventually goes to the former one, as it’s more flavourful, whilst the latter appears quite salty to my taste. In addition to that, I find that somehow, wan tan noodles in Hong King seems to be very heavy on the alkaline taste which usually don’t go so well with my tastebud. Nevertheless, I really enjoy and love the succulently and fragrantly roasted goose, minus off the fats (=

Done the quick grubs, off we go to Ocean Park, after some carefree roaming at IFC mall, that subconsciously had me comparing it with our Pavilion KL while we figuring our way to the bus stop for the correct ride.

McD slushies!

Soon we reach Admiralty MTR and boarded the Citybus (Route 629) scheduled at 2pm.

It was definitely a hot day with scorching sun, BUT undeniably PERFECT setting for shutterbugs!

We tried to cover as much as we could- went to Adventures in Australia (but the Koala kept shying away from me, sob sob…….), Bouncer House (for the kids), Crazy Galleon (the pirate ship), Flying Swing, Sea Life Carousel (don’t laugh :P ), Eagle, Grand Aquarium, North Pole Encounter (witnessed the agility of pacific walruses), The Abyss (repeat the scary ride of Solero shot in Genting Highland last time), Ocean Theatre (lovely and brilliantly well-trained dolphins!), a walk down the memory lane of Old Hong Kong, Sea Jelly Spectacular (the wonders of ocean’s deep blue sea), South Pole Spectacular (aww, those penguins are so so cute!!), Symbio! ( the musical fountain), The Dragon (roller coaster ride, braved myself and took twice! ** giggling), Whirly Bird (free-flying swing that I enjoyed very much- just sit and relax), Ferrris Wheel (bathed in the moment of serenity overseeing the panoramic view and the stunning picturesque ‘live paintings’ from the Cable Car ride! Pure bliss!!!

After a whole day out at the theme park, I don’t feel any of my body part ache or worn out, but still very much on the cloud 9! The only thing reality hits was……………..the tummy started to drum roll- time for dinner at The Spaghetti House!

Address: Shop 68B, G/F, Admiralty Centre, 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty
   Exit A, Admiralty MTR Station

Mixed Mushrooms (HKD 52)

Chicken Lasagna (HKD 138)

Perhaps some quick bites on KFC ice cream in Hong Kong?? I don’t think they have the vanilla soft serve here, hehe.

And so another day wrapped up with a bang enthusiastically! No….no booze tonight, but nice milk before sleep and after waking up tomorrow. Magically, another surprise discovery en route tomorrow which I personally love it dearly and had me in awe, even till now…………
C’est la vie (=
